“I’m sorry I can’t make tonight’s Burnley gig…I’m dying of man flu”

A poorly Jim Davidson has apologised to his fans after being forced to cancel tonight’s show in Burnley.

The comedian was due to perform his new stand-up show at Burnley Mechanics Theatre but has had to postpone the performance after falling ill with “man flu” and losing his voice.

He has recorded a video message from his bed for fans who have tickets for the show, which will be rescheduled for a future date.

In it he says: “I’m sorry I can’t make the show tonight in Burnley.

“As you can see, I’m dying of the man flu. Keep your tickets and I’ll come to see you as soon as I am better.”

Jim will also be unable to appear in tomorrow’s episode of Jim’s Sunday Sandwich on Ustreme.

Jake “Jakey” Moyes will instead be standing in for the comedy legend for the show, in which he’ll sit down with Vicky Nash and Vicky Wright to discuss the week’s news and put the world to rights.
