Ustreme announces packed festive schedule of exclusive shows

Ustreme has announced a packed schedule of exclusive stand-up shows and programmes over the Christmas and New Year period.

As well as the twice-weekly This Week with Jim Davidson – which sees the comedy legend give his unique and hilarious take on the madness of the world – the channel will also be streaming a festive special of Jim’s Sunday Sandwich from Christmas Eve, and the star’s critically-acclaimed and much-loved “mucky pantomime” Sinderella from Christmas Day.

The incomparable Freddie Starr is at his hilarious and outrageous best in Freddie Starr: Live and Devilish, which will be shown from Boxing Day, with the late, great Jethro being shown in his stand-up special, Rule Britannia, from New Year’s Eve.

On New Year’s Day, Ustreme will stream the first episode of Proper Comedians, which features a host of comedy veterans including Jimmy Jones, Mick Miller, Bobby Davro and Mike Osman alongside some of the industry’s most talented up-and-coming stars. Shows were filmed in front of live audiences over two nights at the Gaiety, Southsea, to rave reviews, and have been edited down into 30-minute episodes to be shown exclusively on Ustreme.

Ustreme founder and co-director, Jim Davidson, said: “What a line-up that is for you lot over Christmas and New Year. Christmas is a time to be merry, and this schedule will keep you laughing like you used to, don’t you worry about that!”

Ustreme’s apps – which will allow members to watch the channel on their TVs – is currently well into development ready for launch early in the New Year.
