Ustreme’s Laughter Class winner to support Jim Davidson for special stand-up gig

Tickets have gone on sale for a special gig starring Jim Davidson, with support from Ustreme’s Laughter Class winner Pat Smith.

Pat took Ustreme’s Laughter Class crown with a stunning stand-up set he wrote and performed in front of a live audience and panel of judges, following an intensive three-day mentoring course.

Laughter Class was launched by Jim to find the country’s next big comedy superstar. Following auditions, nine candidates were chosen to attend the course to be mentored by industry experts, including Jim, Christopher Biggins, Bobby Davro and Kev Orkian. They then performed  in front of a sell-out crowd, when Pat took the crown.

He will now be supporting Jim for a gig on his brand-new national tour, Swimming Against The Tide, which opened in January and has received rave reviews.

The show will take place at The Gaiety Bar, in Southsea, on July 19th. Tickets cost £27.

Jim said: “Pat is a fantastic young talent. He’s a former soldier and he’s able to take that famous, dark military humour and tell some hilarious stories about his service and the differences with civilian life.

“We uncovered some brilliant new talent on Laughter Class but Pat stood out and was a worthy winner. Audiences are in for a treat. Remember this man’s name because he’s going to be a big star in comedy.”
