Bobby Davro in the hot seat for This Week

Bobby Davro sat in for Jim Davidson on today’s episode of This Week, giving his unique take on the world with impressions and gags galore, just weeks after suffering a stroke.

The legendary entertainer discussed the latest in the news, including the furore over Kate Middleton’s “edited” family photo, Rupert Murdoch’s engagement at 93, Oppenheimer sweeping up at the Oscars, Anthony Joshua knocking out his opponent, and England’s rugby victory over Ireland. He also paid tribute to his beloved late mum after Mother’s Day.

His appearance on This Week comes just weeks after the star suffered a minor stroke. Bobby had just come off stage following a standing ovation at a sell-out gig at the Coulston Comedy Club in January when he fell ill.

Sitting in for Jim on today’s episode of This Week, Bobby said he was now “well on the mend”. Bobby will be back in the hot seat for Thursday’s episode of This Week, ahead of Jim’s return for a new episode of Jim & Her on Sunday.
